Golden Princess Southern Caribbean Cruise Review
Part Seven - St. Kitts
Welcome to the seventh segment of our Golden Princess
Southern Caribbean cruise review. In this article we will review the
second stop in our itinerary, St. Kitts.

St. Kitts seemed to be in a state of reconstruction when we
arrived. This was not a problem for me (being an international construction
manager in my 'other life'). It is always interesting to see the different
methods of construction.
When re-construction is finished, St. Kitts will be a nice blend of old and
new. There are some rugged-looking buildings that could have been built to
accommodate pirates in days-gone-by. Some of the newer buildings have
beautiful stone-slab facings. Walking down the pier toward town, we passed a
number of shops of interest. Just past these buildings you find yourself in
the town.
There seemed to be a lot of traffic in the narrow streets when we arrived.
The community was bustling with activity. Even the bank (a Scotiabank where
my wife works at home) was lined up at the tellers like a long week-end
Friday afternoon back home.
One set of parents took an island tour which they again found most
enjoyable. The rest of our group went their separate ways exploring the town
and port area.
