Romantic Cruise Vacation – A Wonderful Week of Romance on the Sea
Day Six
Our Romantic Cruise
Vacation enters its sixth day today. This is to be another day at
sea.
Not wanting to lose the romance and intimate mood of the previous night, we
choose to enjoy a room-service breakfast alone on our private balcony. What
a wonderful way to start a day – a loving companion, the fresh sea air, the
sound of the gentle slapping on the hull and a relaxed casual breakfast.
The gym calls to us for a brief energizing exercise routine. It is busy
again today as the cruise passengers are hoping to at least keep the
calories gained at bay. (Most sea days find the gym a little busier.)
For a change, today we find a couple of lounges near the aft pool. The water
looks extremely inviting so we take the plunge. From the pool, we can just
see the turquoise swirls created by the cruise ship in a line that continues
off to the horizon. The vista is mesmerizing.
We decide to enjoy a deck lunch today by the mid-ship pool where the live
band is playing. There is a barbeque grill with a tantalizing aroma wafting
up. We can’t stop our mouths from watering with desire.
After lunch there is a tropical signature cocktail class. As we listen to
the instructions, the idea of being able to re-live our romantic cruise
while enjoying a couple of these drinks at home takes hold – not that we
will soon forget the romance of our vacation…
Today, we plan to spend a little more time together on our private balcony –
just the two of us. We have ordered a bottle of our new favorite wine to be
delivered to our stateroom. The sun is warm. The light sea breeze is
refreshing. The wonderful company is ideal. We feel that we must be in
heaven.
Dinner tonight finds us at an intimate table for two in yet another of the
cruise ship’s fine restaurants. As we dine on the delectable cuisine, our
discussion takes us into our future together. We are still in the midst of
our romantic getaway, but can’t help thinking about our next cruise
vacation. (Oh Yes. It will be a cruise vacation!)
A stroll on the deck after dinner again finds us admiring the moon’s
reflection on the waters of the Caribbean. We pause at the rail – arm-in-arm
to revel in the moment. Finding ourselves again being enrapt with the
feelings of romance, we decide to check out the disco. Tonight’s theme
‘Dance Through the Decades’ intrigues us. The music is a wonderful mix of
new chart hits and the favorites that we enjoyed when we first met. How
better to end another romantic day at sea…
